'Ello watchers!

So I've been pretty inactive lately, and I'm sorry.
Then I went to the doctors for a typical check up a month or two ago and they ended up finding a lump in my throat and high calcium and PTH levels in my blood.
You have 4 parathyroids the size of a grain of rice. They regulate the calcium in your body. If one becomes enlarged it starts going crazy and takes calcium out of your bones.
The extra calcium effects your nerves making you tired, depressed, hard to formulate sentences, irritable, weak and so on. If it continues to go untreated it will eventually effect your brain and heart. But that's only after years and years.
I've pretty much been sleeping all day and all night, only really waking up to go to work, eat, and such. This is called hyperparathyroidism.
I saw a doctor August 2nd to confirm the diagnosis and the lump was on my thyroid, not an enlarged parathyroid. However, it's very hard to see an enlarged parathyroid in an ultrasound so it could mean I have two separate things going on.
At this time I'm continuing to get tests done. We're ruling things out with blood work at the moment. I'm crossing my fingers that this ends up being hyperparathyroidism instead of the alternative, a gene disorder that can't be treated. Hopefully the blood work will rule out the gene disorder and the diagnosis will be hyperparathyroidism then after my family will start searching for a surgeon to get my parathyroid removed.
As you can probably tell, I'm still functioning fine to be able to go on dA and type and such. What I (hopefully) have really isn't too serious and can be fixed in a 20 minute surgery if performed by the right people. So you really don't need to worry. I just wanted everyone to know where the heck I've been.
Love you all,
Saiai
